I'm back!!
I'm so sorry I disappeared darlings, had some technical difficulties!! Good news is that I'm back..... Now on to my must have summer MUST HAVES!! Every season I like to tell all my friends on what I would take to a cabin in the woods or desert island if I could only bring a few things. A few are the oldies but goodies, never fail me. Some are brand new, including an item I got for free from Bzz Agent.
1. Sunscreen!!!! Two favorite brands are Hawaiian Tropic and Clairins. Please use sunscreen and you will thank me ten years from now when you have less wrinkles and NO skin cancer.
2. Urban Decay Primer Potion. This is something I would hoard if they ever discontinued it! I have had my eye shadows on in the hottest of weather (Austin TX anyone??) and my shadow does not budge or fade. I have passed out and woke up the next day with still perfect eye shadow. You can get this at Sephora, Ulta and various online sites.
3. Dr.Scholl's for her High Heel insoles. I got to try these for free from Bzz Agent and these rock for your summer shoes 3inches and higher!! They are lightweight, invisible, supportive as can be and can be worn in pretty much all of your shoes. I can wear my super hot espadrilles without having my feet throb at the end of the day. Quite a few girls that I have talked to have tried them, loved them and now recommend them to friends and family as well. Now you have no reason to hide your summers hottest shoes!
4. L'Oreal's EverCreme hair care line. After going blonde (pics coming soon) my hair was trashed. This line of products rival some of those I have bought in high end salons and boutiques. My hair is getting healthier and the smell is to die for!! It's kind of an amber and Tahitian vanilla combo which I would wear as a perfume if they made one, that's why when you see my platinum hair it's shiny!!
5. Fans. If you follow Vogue or are as eccentric as I am, you will know that hand fans (not the battery powered plastic ones) are making a comeback. I never knew they left, but I am very happy to see the return of them! From black lace vintage ones to cute colorful types, you will keep cool and look hot. There is something sexy and mysterious about a diva with a fan vs a normal sweaty person with a buzzing battery controlled cooler.
6. A few good books. Whether you are at the beach, summer festival or hiding from the heat inside a good book will get you far. I love finding old/rare/out of print/bizarre books at thrift stores or half price books. It's better for the planet to buy used books and with the money you saved you can buy yourself a new pair of heels to wear with the Dr.Scholl's insoles!
7. Opera Glasses. Yes I said Opera Glasses!! With all the Summer concerts, plays in the park, people watching and fireworks coming up, these are a life saver. As many of you know I have MS, unfortunately I lost vision in my right eye so my sight is not the greatest. These are a great way to see the band without having them look like ants and they make a great conversation piece. Who knows, the cute guy close to you at the concert might want to see better too and now you have a reason to connect.
8. The Britta bottle. I know that we know to stay hydrated in the heat, but why waste plastic bottles when you just need one! I love this since it filters the water the whole time and can be filled on the go. No one wants to visit the ER with heatstroke this summer!
9. Argan oil, also known as Moroccan oil. I get mine from the local health food store, where you can get a 99.5% all organic pure version vs the ones you will find in the store mixed with silicone's and who knows what else?? This is liquid gold and is great for hair and skin. I mix it with my conditioners, face and body creams and use it to smooth down those fly always! I love Life-flo brand, you get a 4oz bottle for the price of some brands .5oz bottles. I always carry a small dropper bottle of it with me for emergencies.
10. A lightweight wrap. If you're at the beach and need to cover up or at your favorite restaurant and get cold it will come in handy. I love the pashima scarves since they are so versatile, easy to find and are budget friendly.

The joys of owning a new home.
Well my Darlings, this girl has finally settled down. We have the keys, kitchen is set up, studio is almost finished and today we go to order our furniture!! The house is going to be the most fabulous house on the block. We will be having a few summer events, so keep checking your in box and phones so you know where to go. Duchess the baby diva.
As all of you know and hear about all the time is stories about Duchess and my new found joy in being a Bzz Agent!! Duchess is my baby girl, those of you who know her know she's one of the sweetest loving cats in the world. During my short time as a Bzz Agent I was able to join the Hills Science Diet campaign and try a grain free formula for FREE. Bob still has to be on his special food, so he had to sit this one out. Now you might be thinking "what does a former makeup artist/painter/glam girl/jewelry designer know about cat food"? Well after joining up I decided to do some home work about the food. After you read this I want you to read what is in your cats food!! This food is really something, it has no fillers or junk in it. The first ingredient is meat, cats are carnivorous so that's a good thing. Cat's do not stalk corn, just small animals. One of the extra bonuses of this is that she hasn't had any sick tummy or hair ball accidents. This is great since it was becoming an every other week issue. Just to make sure I was really getting the full effect of the food, I did grab an extra bag so I could feed it to her for at least a month. Now that we are moving, I hope to get my boyfriends cat on it. We shall see, she's a very picky kitty. I give it my honest thumbs up and have been raving about this to everyone I come into contact with I'm so happy about it!!
On a more somber and serious note, I would like to bring up the Live Below the Line campaign. It has you spending a few days living off a $1.50 a day. I'm glad some of you are joining me in this, we can combine our resources and get enough food to survive! This is to bring attention to world hunger a cause that is dear to the heart of me and others. Please feel free to join me in this show of solidarity against something that is destroying the lives of families all over. You can look up the website and they have some good recipes to follow so you don't feel too hungry!!! I hope you have enjoyed all that I have had to share with you today. I might not be around as much for the next few weeks as we are closing on our first house!! I look forward to sharing household tips and decorating tricks with you as I get settled into a whole new life. Wish me luck all you fabulous darlings!!! Until we meet again, stay smashing!

House buying and the arts..
Hello all my darlings!! As you know I have been quite busy getting a new home for this diva, her love and her pets. I did get into one of the two art shows I entered, so that was really great. It will be nice to have a big studio in the house with lot's of light, I think the energy in the house is really good with the lighting. I am so excited to be moving on to this new step in life!! I also found my new hair love in the L'Oreal ever-creme line, it smells amazing and makes my hair soft and shiny. I will recommend it more than any other salon brand other than Ojan. This is at such a better price, cheaper than Starbucks!! Try it, you will like it!! Until then...

Bzzing about Duchess and her new food!
Hello my Darlings!! As you know, I'm a Bzz Agent and loving it!! One of the perks of being a Bzz Agent is trying out new things, my first product I got to try was the Hills Science Diet grain free for everyone's favorite lap cat Duchess. This food is really good food, it's chock full of good stuff for your pets and that's good for everyone. I like the fact that it has no junky fillers in it, I try to keep my diet healthy and enjoy doing the same for Duchess. You can't pick this up at your local box store but I'm sure if your vet doesn't carry it you can pick it up at pet direct online. I've talked to over 100 people about this and they have all seemed pretty interested. I say give it a try, your pets will love you even more!! Now that we are getting a home I hope we can get Gman's cat to eat it. I hope all of you enjoy your holiday weekend and I'll touch base with more advice soon, in fact I might even share some of my great baked brie recipes with ya'll.
