Back on Summer Break and news on a brow promo! A little on the Jeffree Star Skin Frosts..

Hello Dahlings,

I hope that Summer is treating you all as fabulous as you are!  The radio show was a success and I will be back next Spring to host a post punk show.  Right now I am learning the ins and outs of being a bridesmaid, always a bride never a bridesmaid, so any advice would be much appreciated!   You all know how much brows mean to me, if eyes are the windows to the soul, then brows are the prefect frame.  Right now BeneFit cosmetics has a way for you and all your friends to get free brow goodies, which is perfect for Summer party season! I worked for them when I lived in Hawaii and they have always had some fun brow goodies.  Here's the link, you can share it with your friends and if they share, they too are up for the brow goodies.   https://www.talkable.com/x/iMbYqU

Now  a little on to what will probably be my top highlighters ever, and y'all know I have been a makeup artist since 1996!  These are so huge, like gigantic can't fit in my hand huge.  The price is under $30 and they are stunning.  Right now I am in the middle of an air conditioning crisis, so I will post more about these beauties soon!!  But I am not completely mean, so here are some pics to hold my darling disco dollies over!

Dance Dance Dance to the music on the radio!!!!

Hello Darlings,

As you have recently learned, I am a college student.  How crazy is that?  Like so many divas before me, I am once again rising and turning into something new.  Besides working at a world respected museum, I will now be hosting a weekly radio show.  It will be running 9pm-12am Central time (United States) every Tuesday for the next few months.  Needless to say, I have a whole new respect for those who work in radio.  It is quite the handful, with changing cds, tweeting the songs we are playing, and other non glamours things.  I will be on tomorrow night for my 2nd show, it's probably good that you missed the first one since I was terrified.  Do you like Punk or Post-Punk music?  Let me know if there's a song you want to hear and I will do my best to make it happen.  Now off to write some papers and do a few tweaks on my set list.  Here's a link to our station link.  In the upper right hand corner there is a Listen Now button, click on it and your are ready to rock. If that doesn't work I have added our streaming link.

The Diva becomes The Baroness

Hello my darlings,

I know I have been missing for quite a while, but so much has happened since then!!  I almost died in emergency surgery 2 months before my wedding, pulled through to get married, became a Baroness, and a Student.  I can't wait to share all these new adventures with you.  We are going to focus on fashion, film, art, and music.  I know that I used to review products and will still tell you when I find something life changing.  Sunday Riley's Luna Oil for example.  Also something new, you will be able to hear me once a week at one of our nations best college radio stations.  Tuesday nights I will be turning their rock block into punk rock and will be featuring the best of Punk, Post-Punk, and Ska.  Let me know what you want to hear and be kind, I have been in front and behind the camera before but this radio thing is new to me.  I look forward to being a part of your weeks and the adventures we are going to have.

Some of my MUST haves for this Spring.

Hello Darlings,

Now that the temperature is rising, it's time to get our skin ready to be bare! I have stumbled upon a few amazing items that are making my skin glow and baby smooth.  The weather here might not be hot, but it doesn't mean you don't have to be.  My first item is under $10 and has been an off and on staple in my skin care regime for over a decade now.  If there is a Walgreen's near you, you are good to go.  It's their Studio 35 Beauty Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream with 8% AHA.  I was having some pretty bad stress breakouts and this helped clear it up within a week.  If you have sensitive skin, you may want to skip this since it definitely has a sting to it.  Also AHA's make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so make sure you use a sun screen during the day time.  I like to mix Philosophy's Vitamin C powder in with it and once it sinks in I pat moisturizer where my skin tends to be dry.  My skin seems to glow since I have started this program.  For the body I am infatuated with LUSH's Ocean Salt & Rub Rub Rub body scrubs followed by the Ro's Argan body conditioner.  These make my skin feel soft and yummy, smell delish and are hand made!!  You can find them at their freestanding stores, some Macy's, and online at www.lush.com.  For the soul and your zen environment I am FULL ON OBSESSED with 3-8-1 candles.  They are hand poured in my home state of Wisconsin and I will only use these in my home and art studio now!!  The My Marilyn candle is lush and fills the whole first floor of our house with the lush scent of Chanel No 5.  Just when you think it couldn't be more glamorous, as your candle burns, you find a piece of jewelry.  Real jewelry, not fake costume jewelry like some of the other candles companies out there.  I am also digging her Alpha Hydroxy face peel, it makes your skin smooth and makeup ready!!  I will post a picture of the jewelry I get once I get it out of the candle.  You can get a candle of your own and learn more about the whole line of product at  http://www.381candles.com/
Well that sums it up for now, I look forward to letting you know how I feel about the FAGE yogurt and other summer products.  Until then, always remember you are a STAR!!

How a Diva deals with a loss (or multiple ones).

Hello Darlings,

I hope that Spring has sprung wherever you may be!  Sometimes even us Divas have to deal with some painful things, this year has been a bit rocky for this Diva.  There has been a lot of loss in my life this year, hardest being loosing the women who raised me after my mother died and the person who inspired me to be glamorous, strong, and a caring person.  But, just as she would have wanted, I have become a stronger person from it. Later on I am going to go into ways to deal with the hard times in upcoming  posts. On a happier note, this Summer has some exciting events and I hope to include you in these!!  I will also be keeping you posted on new products to try and honest feedback on them.  Now that Winter is over and I quit smoking, expect tips on how to get back in shape and an all around healthier person.  Until then I wish you health, happiness and all around fabulousness!!

Cheers,

Mitchy

Keeping my hair smooth, even in this horrible winter with a little help for Goody QuikStyle brush!

Hello Darlings,

Winter in Wisconsin is something special, one day it's 35 degrees and the next it's 9 with high winds.  It's enough to drive any Diva mad!!  As part of my amazing Holiday VoxBox from our friends at Influenster, I got a free Goody QuikStyle brush.  I love hair stuff, so I was really excited to try it since I was getting pretty bad static from the one I've been using.  As you know, I'm growing my hair out after the cut from hell and styling it can be frustrating to put it mildly.  The QuikStyle brush has cut down on my drying time and made my hair smoother, so I don't have to spend as much time flat ironing it.  It's takes a bit to get the handle of it, but once you do you are never going to want to dry your hair with another brush again!!  It has rows between the bristles that have absorbent nubs that help smooth and dry the hair quicker.  I do have one issue with this brush and it's I wish they came in a smaller size.  The half round brush I got rocks, but can be hard to maneuver with my hair being in a chin length bob right now. I know it's really going to rock as my hair gets longer.  If you are reading this Goody, PLEASE make your half round brush in a smaller size for us Divas with shorter hair!!  You use this like any other half round brush, you can choose to section off your hair or not, depending on the length and style of your hair.  When you are done drying your hair, the little nubs will be out of wack.  A little pop on the back of the brush and running my hand across it put it back to normal.  You can find this brush pretty much anywhere and it retails around $12 where I live.  I recommend this brush to everyone who likes to smooth their hair while drying it.  It makes it so much easier and it's going on my upcoming must haves for winter list.  I took a picture after being out in the cold with a hat, I did run the brush through my hair just to reshape it.  I was surprised at how smooth my hair was considering the arctic chill and high winds we are having tonight.  I'm leaving you with the like to get your own QuikStyle brush, so you can all have great winter hair!!  Until next time, stay fabulous!!
