Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Hair cream. Love the name and LOVE the product!!

Hello Darlings,

It's that time of the year up north where our hair get's crazy.  Thanks to Influenster I was able to try a new hair product I have never heard of, the Not Your Mother's brand.  The names of the product are awesome and funny, better yet, they work!  I got to try Kinky Moves Hair Cream which is made for curly and wavy hair.  Since I cut mine shorter awhile back, it looks silly wavy but this product gives my bob such a nice finish I am happy!!  I am in love with the fact that is has Grapeseed and Jasmine oil to help smooth and hydrate the hair without being heavy.  As a Diva with fine hair, I hate the greasy flat look that some hair creams give you.  This one feels lightweight and silky, it smells a little like smarties candy but that fades pretty quickly.  It reminds me of a high end salon product and might be replacing my latest finisher.  I look forward to trying the Smooth Moves for straight hair since I have had good luck with the one made for waves.  On dry hair I have been adding less than a pea size to my palms, warming it up and running it through my finished look to give it polish.  I can't find these products where I live, so I'll be ordering this one online.  I definitely recommend this with hat hair season a few weeks away.  Plus I'm sure your friends will get a kick out of it when seeing it on your vanity!!  I do apologize for the slightly fuzzy picture, I am learning how to use the camera on my new phone and it's taking a bit.  I hope you are all having a lovely Monday and look forward to sharing more goodies with you soon!!  As always, stay fabulous!!

Bath and Body Works fabulous Fall candle scent!

Hello Darlings,

One of my favorite parts of Fall and the holiday season is the warm scent of candles in the air.  This year as a part of my Influenster's beauty blogger VoxBox I got to try one of the BB&W travel candles in Mahogany Teak Wood.  Needless to say this is going to be repurchased!!  The smell is long lasting and warm and woodsy  the way late fall should smell.  I enjoy the fact that it is not over powering and burns clean.  For those of you who can't burn candles where you live, I recommend getting a plug in candle warmer.  I love the travel size of this one since I do like to travel and hate the smell of hotel rooms.  This candle has had a few trips, including Milwaukee and Chicago.  Who doesn't want to unwind in your hotel after a day of running around and have it smell amazing.  These are also great to burn while soaking in the tub for a night time bath.  It gives a soothing light and smell that cheaper candles can't match.  With the holidays coming up, these make great stocking suffers and the price is to die for.  These are going to be the new candle standard in our house!  Here's a picture of the candle and a link to get your own.  Back to bed rest for this diva, I hope you are all taking care so you can have a happy and healthy holidays!

Kiss everEZlashes!

Hello Darlings,

I am excited to tell you about a new and easy way to try fake eyelashes.  After spending a decade as a makeup artist, I can tell you that one of the questions I got asked most about was on how to apply fake eyelashes.  Thanks to Influenster I was able to try these out for free.  For 1st timers they make it easy as can be due to the fact that there is a string that helps you line it up perfectly to your lash line.  I LOVE THIS IDEA!!  All you have to do is apply lash glue, line it up and then pull the string through to get a great set of falsies.  Before applying false eyelashes I always recommend curling your lashes and applying a coat of mascara.  Once the lash glue has dried and set add a second coat of mascara and some eyeliner to complete the look.  For those who have small eyes like me, you can cut the lashes into 2 sets and use them on the mid and outer corner of your eyes.  This gives a sexy cat eye effect and gives you a spare pair of lashes for later!  I have added a picture of how this is done and the items I use to make doing half lashes easy.  The metal tool is a false eyelash tool, it makes applying these a snap.  These are by far the easiest way to learn how to use false eyelashes that I have seen.  You can find them at your local big box and drugstore by the other lashes.  Just make sure to remove them before you go to bed!!  Nothing is worse than losing a chunk of eyelashes due to abuse.  With all your holiday parties coming up these are sure to come in handy!!  Get your beauty rest so your wide eyed look will look its freshest.  Until we chat again, stay warm and fabulous!!
